Picosoft is one of the major earth Mega-Corporations. Since the 20th century they have been a major player in the micro computer industry. Their headquarters are based in an area on earth called Silicon Valley, on the northern American continent. Recent competition with AmiCorp have had their toll on Picosoft. In the 20th century they controlled 85% of the microcomputer industry, now they control only 2%. Picosoft has certainly seen better days...
In response to recent competition Picosoft have been forced to expand into other industries. In 2256 Picosoft CEO Colin Pritchard announced a partnership with Scorgie International, a communications company, proving how bad Picosoft are doing. Today Picosoft is going from strength to strength, but it is still in the shadows of giants like AmiCorp.
Picosoft has had more than its fair share of controversy, in 2239 Picosoft was accused of supplying weapons and equipment to Raiders and Rahn factions, in exchange for them attacking Picosoft's rivals. After a massive dogfight involving fifteen AmiCorp Heavy Escort Vessels, six squadrons of AmiCorp SA-43 Light Attack Jets, two Rahn cruisers and over one hundred Rahn fighters, AmiCorp CEO Morgan Tyler was killed. The new CEO Eddie Collins begun stockpiling resources and firepower. On the morning of 11th September 2239 contact was lost with the Picosoft Research Facility on Diomedes. By December 29th 2239, Picosoft's Outposts outside of Sol had fallen. They had neither the money or resources to continue fighting. Since the end of the corporate wars in 2244 Picosoft has gradually began to build itself up, but it still has a long way to go.
